We're in for a couple days of dangerously hot weather in Central Virginia. The National Weather Service has a Heat Advisory posted for today from 11:00 to 8:00. Heat index values could reach 108. The NWS has also issued an Excessive Heat Watch for tomorrow. The heat index Friday is expected to reach 111. Heat illness is possible both days. The NWS advises drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned room, staying out of the sun and checking up on relatives and neighbors.
