Richmond is preparing for Tropical Storm Debby. The National Weather Service expects we could feel the effects of the storm as early as Thursday. Emergency management coordinator Stephen Willoughby is expecting a lot of rain. He says storm drains are being cleared, and shelters will be opened. Willoughby also tells 12 On Your Side it might be a good idea to stock up on food ahead of the storm.
New technology being tested in the UK to identify those at risk of a heart attack is being called a "game changer." It uses artificial intelligence to detect inflammation in the heart that CAT scans and x-rays can't see. Heart inflammation is linked to a greater risk of cardiovascular disease and deadly heart attacks. Experts say patients with heart inflammation are 20 to 30 times more likely to die over the next ten years of a cardiac issue.
