Shenandoah National Park is warning drivers about the hazards posed by deer during the upcoming mating season. Park officials say bucks will be out looking for mates from October to December. That will lead to more deer crossing roads in the park, especially at dawn and dusk. Drivers are urged to slow down, be alert and exercise caution throughout the deer mating season.

A roundtable discussion was held in Richmond to discuss the 'Troy Bill' aimed at creating better guidelines for confidential informants in drug cases. The bill was inspired by Donna Watson, whose son Troy died from a fentanyl overdose after working as a confidential informant. The bill aims to protect individuals struggling with addiction by implementing policies that prevent active drug users from becoming informants. Despite the alarming data on fentanyl-related deaths in Virginia, Watson urges people not to lose hope and advocates for better protection for vulnerable individuals.
