Governor Glenn Youngkin says Virginia's education system still has a long way to go to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.Preview: There's a new effort to make riding GRTC buses safer. The agency announced this week it's launching Public Safety Officer and Public Safety Ambassador programs. The goal is to enhance security, provide customer assistance and foster a stronger sense of community throughout the transit system. The Public Safety Officer program will officially start on Monday.
