A student at RJ Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem was shot on school grounds near the parking lot on Tuesday afternoon. Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough Jr. stated that the shooting resulted from an altercation and that the victim, a student, was shot in the upper leg. WXII 12 News reports the student is currently recovering in the hospital.
The Virginia Lottery wants residents to gift responsibly during the holiday season. The Lottery is reminding Virginians that lottery tickets are for adults and shouldn't be given to anyone younger than 18. Moreover, giving a lottery ticket to a child is a crime under Virginia law.
