VCU Economic Associate Professor Dr. Stephen Day says the economy is softening a bit, and that'll make it a great deal more difficult for new grads to get hired. His advice is to grow your skills while also trying to make money. Day isn't all gloom and doom, though. He tells 8News the unemployment rate for new grads is about six percent right now, and from a historical perspective, that's pretty good.
