The Cardinal News reports the dispute arose from infighting between Republican factions on the council. The resolution also includes fines for the members, which can be waived if they agree to special training.
Former President Trump says Vice President Harris is stealing his idea of eliminating taxes on tips for hospitality and service workers. During a campaign rally over the weekend, Harris vowed to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips. In 2022, Harris voted to pass legislation that allowed the IRS to track down workers' tips so that they could be taxed. Trump made his original announcement in early June.
