Nonprofit Islamic Relief USA and Episcopal High School in Alexandria partnered to pack thousands of meals for families in need. The event aimed to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy of service. 7 News reports that over 450 volunteers came together to support the cause, highlighting the ongoing efforts to address food insecurity in the community.
A new cat cafe is coming to the Richmond area. The Purrfect Bean is scheduled to open in place of the former Westray's Finest Ice Cream on North Lombardy Street. Renovations are currently underway at the cafe. The business plans to host a cat cafe area on the first floor, while the second floor will house a cat lounge. The cats at the cafe are expected to be available for adoption.
