Several schools and city services across the Hampton Roads region are being affected by a winter storm hitting the state. Multiple Virgina School dirstricts are either closed today or on a two-hour delay due to the weather. Several city offices, libraries, community centers, courts and military bases are also closed. The National Weather Service says the hazardous weather outlook for southeastern Virginia shows the chilly temperatures which could mean black ice on roads.
Several water issues have been reported in the Henrico area and also Richmond International Airport. The Department of Public Utilities says they're working to fix the limited water pressure reported by residents. Some water customers, including the airport, have also reported no water pressure at all. They say they hope to have the water pressure fixed by later today. A boil water advisory for affected customers remains in place.
