A firearm was found in a Student's backpack. A Green Run High School security officer located and then aprohended the weapon. The Virginia Beach Police Department is conducting an investigation, and both criminal and disciplinary actions will be taken against the student. A train accident involving a pedestrian occurred in Danville. The Danville Police Department responded to the incident near South Main Street, where a 24-year-old man was found injured on the tracks. Emergency responders airlifted the man out for further treatment. WFXR reportst that as of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
