A developer has announced plans for more affordable housing in Alexandria. Developer JBG Smith says they've submitted plans to the city for new multifamily townhouses and affordable units. Close to 550 multifamily apartment units will potentially be built across two seven-story buildings. There will also be around 100 units of affordable housing, along with 80 units of townhomes for sale. JBG Smith plans to hold a community meeting on the proposal on December 16th.
