A former Virginia Department of Corrections Officer has been arrested and charged in a large drug smuggling operation. Police arrested 29-year-old Raekwon Robins last week. Robins is accused of trying to smuggle more than $150-thousand dollars worth of narcotics into a State Correctional Facility in Richmond. He faces charges related to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
New charges have been filed against a nurse accused of harming babies in a Virginia hospital's neonatal intensive care unit, bringing the total number of infants she is accused of abusing to five. 26 year old, Erin Strotman was initially arrested in January after several babies suffered unexplained fractures, prompting the hospital to close its NICU. WTVR Strotman faces multiple counts related to the abuse of these infants, and the case is ongoing.
