Mores home are being put on the market in Northern Virginia. The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors says the total number of homes for sale at the end of March is over 63-percent higher than a year ago. And the number of newly listed homes for March is up more than 25-percent. But the association says more homes on the market has not equaled more sales. They report pending sales in March are up five-point-five-percent while closed sales are up less than one-percent.
The Petersburg's Office of Recreation and Special Events is offering free pickleball lessons. The lessons will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on several Saturdays in May. No equipment of registration will be required. Attendees 12 and older can just show up and play. Pickleball has been growing in popularity since the pandemic with more than 13 million people playing the sport a year.
