A teenager taken into custody related to the shootings from two weeks ago in Virginia Beach. 18-year-old Josiah Spann has been arrested in connection with two separate shootings that happend on April 14th that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old and left another victim hospitalized. WAVY reports that Spann faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder and armed robbery.
Eighty-seven dogs, cats, horses, and small animals were rescued by the County Animal Control in Hayes due to unsanitary and inhumane conditions. The animals were seized after a search warrant was executed in April following an investigation into suspected animal neglect. WAVY reports that the animals are now in the care of county officials. Criminal charges are pending against the suspects.
