The bill sought to remove property tax exemptions for several Confederate-related organizations in Virginia. 13 News Now reports that Youngkin acknowledged flaws in the property tax exemption system but criticized the bill's narrow focus, suggesting a more comprehensive approach to reform.  
 
The Children's Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University is growing its NICU. The expansion into the new Children's Tower will hold 20 extra neonatal intensive care beds for sick and premature newborns. The new extra space is expected to welcome its first patient in January of 2026
