The I-66 Express Lanes from Fairfax County into Arlington County boast the third-most expensive interstate tolls in the country. So says a new study by LendingTree that also shows Virginia as a whole charges more per mile on its interstate toll roads than any other state - and by a wide margin. The max fee per mile on those roads is three dollars-27 cents, almost 90-percent higher than Pennsylvania, which is second in the country at a dollar-73. The max fee per mile on I-66 is four-75. Only crossing the Delaware River Bridge and using the Maine Turnpike cost drivers more per mile in tolls.
