Two people are dead after a small plane crash in Fluvanna County. It happened Sunday morning just before 9a.m. when the twin-engine plane reportedly went down after leaving Manassas Regional Airport. It was en route to South Carolina. Two people on board, a 63-year-old pilot from Prince William County and a 73-year-old passenger from Fairfax County, both died. The NTSB and FAA are investigating.
A woman was killed in a Richmond crash and now one person is in custody. Richmond Police say the 28-year-old Pennsylvania woman was at a red light Sunday night when three cars collided. She died at the scene. The driver of another vehicle, 27-year-old Davonte Ridley of Emporia was involved in the crash and arrested for possession of controlled substances and having other outstanding felony warrants in Virginia. The investigation continues.
