Two people are dead and three are injured after a shooting in Suffolk Thursday night. WAVY-TV reports it happened on East Washington Street where officers were called for reports of a shooting. When they got there, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was taken to the hospital and died from his injuries. Three other people were hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. No suspect information has been released as the investigation continues.

The trial of a man suspected of killing two Virginia women has been postponed until next year. Anthony Robinson was set to go on trial later this month for the death of Tonita Smith of Charlottesville. But that trial was put on hold yesterday. Robinson is also charged with murder in connection with the death of Beth Harmon of Harrisonburg. The judge decided that Robinson should be tried for both murders at the same time and rescheduled the trial for January. Robinson has also been linked to two murders in Fairfax County and one in D.C.

Thanks to a generous donation, more students in Chesterfield County can learn a life-saving skill. The Edwards family donated money to buy 140 CPR kits for the school district. The kits were unveiled at a ceremony yesterday at Lloyd C. Bird High School. Crystal Barker teaches CPR at the school. She says learning CPR empowers students to be able to react in a situation that's unexpected and help in the right way. Phlow Corporation CEO Eric Edwards tells 12 On Your Side he hopes he can eventually donate kits to all schools in the state.
