A Virginia man is pleading not guilty to weapons and explosive charges placed by federal investigators. Thirty-six-year-old Brad Spafford appeared in U.S. District Court in Norfolk on Wednesday. He was arrested in Isle of Wight County last month on a charge of owning an unregistered short-barrel rifle. Investigators then found around 150 homemade explosive devices inside Spafford's home, leading to a charge of having an unregistered explosive device. More charges could be placed before Spafford's trial on May 28th.

The research showed that keeping blood sugar levels within a certain range helped patients avoid complications like blindness and kidney damage. UVA researchers are recommending the use of continuous glucose monitors to help doctors identify and treat patients with a higher risk of diabetes complications.
