Three women are facing charges after a drug investigation at a state prison in Fluvanna County. The Virginia Department of Corrections says the three women attempted to smuggle over 80-thousand dollars in illegal drugs into the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women last Saturday. Investigators say the drugs seized included opioids and a medicine used to reverse drug overdoses. Charges are also pending against two inmates at the facility.

Crews will be installing large steel beams needed to build an express lane ramp in the Tysons area between Route Seven and just north of the Dulles Toll Road. Work will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and last through 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should expect delays on northbound I-495 through the weekend and may want to find alternate routes.
President Trump's executive order to rescind a Biden-era executive order for staff to research how to lower prescription medication costs will not effect current drug pricing. Biden's order asked the Health and Human Services secretary to explore "new health care payment and delivery models that would lower drug costs and promote access to innovative drug therapies." Fox43 reports the three models of drug pricing had not yet started being tested. The fate of those three models is unclear.
