Three teens are being charged for a deadly shooting in Alexandria. A 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds are accused of killing a 25-year-old man and wounding two other people in a shooting on September 19th. Police used shell casings left behind at the scene to identify the trio and charge them with murder by mob and malicious wounding. All three were already in custody for other violent crimes.
A change could be coming to how much information Richmond Public Schools releases to the public. RPS Auditor Douglas Graeff addressed a school board committee yesterday. He said he was going to release the full results of the 2024 audit until two employees expressed concern about personal information being disclosed. Graeff says the district has released full audits for over 45 years, and he asked the school board's Audit Committee for some guidance. CBS 6 reports no vote was taken, though, and committee members say they'll consult with RPS attorneys.
