Some Appalachian customers could see their monthly power bill go up by $6 dollars per month soon.Preview: A hearing to challenge a warrant that led to the arrest of a Manassas Park man has been delayed until next month. Naresh Bhatt was arrested in August following the disappearance of his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt. Investigators have yet to find the woman's body but have discovered evidence that leads them to believe she was murdered. Naresh Bhatt has been charged with concealing a body but his lawyer is challenging the arrest warrant based on statements made by police. The hearing is now set for November 7th.
Part of the Blue Ridge Parkway is reopening today. The National Park Service says the Parkway will reopen in Virginia from milepost 0 to milepost 198. The reopened area runs from the north entrance in the Shenandoah Valley to Virginia 685 in Carroll County. Areas like Mabry Mill and the Peaks of Otter visitor center will also reopen. The park service says trail assessments have not been done in all areas so hikers should use caution. No timeline for reopening the Parkway in North Carolina has been established.
