A man killed in a motorcycle crash is being remembered as a good man and a good soldier. That's how Jason Crockett described his friend, Joshua Ballard, yesterday. The 41-year-old Texas resident was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday morning on I-295 near the Richmond airport. The VSP says Ballard's motorcycle hit an exposed lip caused by repaving and resurfacing of the road. Crockett says Ballard served multiple tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, and he literally saw Ballard give the shirt off his back for a brother. Ballard has two children, and Crockett tells CBS 6 he's definitely gone way too soon.
