Police are investigating after three people were injured during an encounter with a train in Lynchburg. First responders were called to the area of U.S. 501 and Graves Mill Road last night around 7:30. A search of the area found three people who were taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigators say one person was hit by the train while the others may have been injured trying to avoid being hit.
Richmond Police are trying to help grieving families get through the holidays. The RPD and Citizens Against Crime distributed gift baskets yesterday to those who lost a loved one to gun violence and also those in need. Albertina Walker is with Citizens Against Crime. As many Virginians prepare for their holiday feasts, health experts want to remind families of the safest ways to stuff their Turkeys.Preview: The Washington Commanders are holding their annual Harvest Feast event today at Northwest Stadium. The Commanders will give Thanksgiving food baskets to 25-hundred residents of Prince George's County during the event, which is held in partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank. The team has been holding the event since 2002.
