Police are investigating after a suspect was shot at a northern Virginia Metro station yesterday afternoon. Officers were called to a grocery store in Arlington after a man reportedly spoke to employees, pulled out a knife and then left the building. The suspect was later found on the top floor of the Rosslyn Metro station, where he reportedly struggled with police before an officer shot him. The suspect was hospitalized with serious injuries, and two officers were also taken to the hospital for treatment. The Northern Virginia Critical Incident Team is investigating the shooting.

A plumber found the lunch box featuring the cartoon character while working at an elementary school in Roanoke. The school district began looking for Tracy Drain after finding her name in the lunch box. She attended the school in the early 1980s and thinks she lost the lunch box in fourth grade. She was reunited with her lunch box this week and says it will now serve as a family keepsake.
President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will host the first White House Conference on Women's Health Research today. The conference will bring out women's health advocates, business leaders, academics and others to discuss how to keep making progress. President Biden launched the initiative last year.
