A Blacksburg town councilman is trying to have election fraud charges against him dismissed. A citizen complained earlier this year that Liam Watson never lived at a Blacksburg address he used to qualify to be a candidate for the seat, and then to illegally cast a vote. Montgomery County's Commonwealth's Attorney says the attorney general authorized the state police to start an investigation this March, but Watson's attorney argued yesterday that the investigation began before they had permission. A circuit court judge is expected to decide whether to dismiss the fraud charges in February.

Virginians are running out of time to get their holiday gifts sent. The U.S. Postal Service says Wednesday is the last mailing date to ensure delivery before Christmas for first-class and Ground Advantage services. UPS says packages will need to be with them by Thursday for their Three Day Select Service.  
 
 
Almost 40-percent of Jewish American health-care workers say they've experienced antisemitism in the workplace, according to a new study by the Jewish civil rights group StandWiithUs. The study revealed stories of overhearing colleagues make antisemitic statements and being doxxed in retaliation for reporting such behavior. The number of incidents has reportedly spiked since the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel more than a year ago.
