Help is pouring in for a grieving family in Chesterfield County. A GoFundMe page was set up last week for the family of Dong Hwang. The 48-year-old died over a week ago after he was hit by a car outside the Winterfield Shopping Center. His funeral was held yesterday. Over 200 people have donated almost 60-thousand dollars to the GoFundMe page for his wife and two children. Hwang's daughter tells 8News she realizes how kind people are and how much love there is.

The agency plans to suspend many work zones beginning tomorrow at noon. Drivers may still encounter some semi-permanent work zones on interstates and major roadways. Lane closures will be put back into place at noon on Thursday.
A Chesterfield County nonprofit is trying to spread the meaning of Kwanzaa. A group called For the Fem in You held the Black and Free Kwanzaa Expo yesterday in Chesterfield at the Beulah Rec Center on Hopkins Road. There was live music, vegan soul food and opportunities for people to see what local Black-owned businesses have to offer. A woman who helped organize the event tells 8News it's important for a community to get involved and connect with their culture.
