A building used by firefighters in Hanover County is damaged after a fire. Hanover Fire and EMS says the Ashland Volunteer Rescue Squad building on Duncan Street caught fire last night and sustained significant damage. No one was hurt, and there's no word on a cause.

The Salute to Service program is scheduled to begin next year and will pay tribute to veterans who served in Operation Desert Storm. Next year will mark the 35th anniversary of that conflict..
