A student is responsible for a threat found at a school in Chesterfield County. The threat was found in Ecoff Elementary School on Friday in a boys bathroom. Police say they have identified the student who made the threat and found it wasn't credible. Still, police increased their presence at the school yesterday. The school's principal tells 12 On Your Side they take any inappropriate comments seriously, even if they're made in a joking manner. Police haven't said if the child responsible is facing charges.

A Richmond nonprofit is exploring ways to offset a loss in federal funding. Studio Two Three was expecting to get a 200-thousand dollar federal grant for a new HVAC unit. The money is in limbo, though, after the federal government froze payments in January. Studio Two Three Executive Director Ashley Hawkins says to compensate they'll hold a Sad Prom fundraiser Saturday. Hawkins says for 25 dollars, you can dance to sad prom and 80s jams and relive your prom dreams or make them for the first time. Hawkins tells 8News it has been heartening to know how many people are angry for them and helping in every way they can.
