Two Democratic lawmakers say they will work with local leaders to make sure Fairfax County schools are safe for students. Democratic state Senator Scott Surovell and Delegate Paul Krizek made that pledge yesterday after a stabbing at West Potomac High School. Surovell said the stabbing hit close to home because his son was inside the school when it happened. A 15-year-old student was arrested following the stabbing, while the 16-year-old victim was hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
