Youngkin said accusations that Reid posted explicit images on a social media account are a distraction that draws attention away from important topics ahead of November's election. Youngkin also said that Reid must make the final decision about whether to drop out of the race.

The city announced yesterday it found several more errors than previously thought. These include rebate checks for owners who sold their property in 2024 that were incorrectly sent to the current property owners. Also, over a hundred rebates were issued for parcels that did not exist. The Finance Department is currently reviewing other payments to see if there are more errors. The city also announced Revenue Administration Director Jamie Atkinson submitted her resignation last week. She oversaw the rebate program. A previous review last month found over eight thousand rebate checks were incorrectly issued.
