Southwest Virginia residents affected by severe winter storms and flooding will soon receive needed financial help. Governor Youngkin announced Friday that President Trump has signed a federal disaster declaration for the area. Youngkin said FEMA is reviewing its individual assistance formulas to help more people qualify for disaster assistance. The area will also receive an additional 50-million dollars in state funding.  
 
 
Changes are already in place to avoid a repeat of January's water crisis in Richmond. Department of Public Utilities Director Scott Morris addressed the city council yesterday. He discusses what he has done since the water outage. Morris said he has reallocated resources by moving personnel to other shifts, and the results seem to be very successful.  
 
 
Virginia is seeing a decrease in flu trends, but a fifth pediatric flu-related death has been reported.

Nick Miles from the YouTube channel Test Miles, says vehicles on dealership lots right now have no tariffs attached to them. Any car that comes into the U.S. as of 12:01 Monday morning however, is subject to tariffs. But he says too, that Customs and Border Protection has no mechanism in place yet to apply the tariffs, so it will be a while before dealerships will be charged.
