Searchers are looking for a 12-year-old boy who was swept away by floodwaters in Albemarle County yesterday. Authorities say the boy was last seen near Newtown Road and Valley Green Drive just before 5:30 p.m. He was reportedly walking outside when he was swept away by floodwaters from a nearby creek. The search for the child was paused last night due to darkness and is expected to resume this morning.

The study also found that about six million children have at least one parent with both substance abuse issues and a mental health disorder. Most of the substance abuse involves alcohol, which kills more people in the U.S. each year than other drugs like opioids. The study was published Monday in JAMA Pediatrics.
