The state has not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 2004, and President Biden won the state easily in 2020.
A Fairfax County teacher is facing charges after allegedly assaulting three students. Elisabeth Nagagata was arrested by police officers in West Springfield on Friday. Police say their investigation began in April after Child Protective Services received a tip that the 62-year-old had assaulted a student at White Oaks Elementary. Investigators reportedly uncovered additional assaults that happened between September and April. Nagagata faces seven charges of simple assault in connection with the investigation.
U.S. home prices are the most expensive ever. That's according to the National Association of Realtors, which reported the median price of a previously owned home in the U.S. went up for the 11th consecutive month in May. It's now at nearly 420-thousand-dollars, up nearly six-percent from a year ago. It's the highest price the NAR has ever recorded.
