An Indiana congresswoman is facing a fine after a pistol was found in her carry-on at Dulles International Airport. The unloaded handgun was found in the bag of Republican Congresswoman Victoria Spartz on Friday. A spokesperson released a statement saying the congresswoman accidentally left the handgun in the pocket of her suitcase. Spartz was issued a citation and allowed to board her flight to Europe. She could be fined up to 15-thousand dollars for trying to board with the weapon in her carry-on.  
 
 
A change is coming to the Richmond School Board. Chairperson Stephanie Rizzi announced yesterday she's stepping down. If she didn't, she may have been forced out. Other members were planning to vote to remove her as chair. Rizzi says she didn't want to be a distraction. One board member tells CBS 6 there's a lack of transparency with Rizzi, and she has withheld information from the board. Dawn Page was elected chair.  
 
 
Virginia wildlife officials are reminding people to stay sober if they are planning to drive a boat over the Fourth of July holiday.

Hurricane Beryl is now at Category 5 strength after weakening slightly as it heads towards the Caribbean. According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Beryl is expected to remain an extremely dangerous major hurricane as it moves through the Windward Islands into the southeastern Caribbean, with hurricane conditions possible in Jamaica by Wednesday.
