Republicans and Democrats both see opportunity in Virginia. Officials from each party tried to rally voters yesterday in separate events. Republicans gathered at McLean's restaurant to hear from RNC Chairman Michael Whatley. In Chesterfield County, Democratic Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan met voters at Stony Point Park. Whatley says Virginia is a battleground state this year, and Republicans are very excited about what they see. McClellan tells 12 On Your Side whatever the polls show, Democrats will keep running as if they're down.

The BBC spoke to organizers of a three-hour call titled "White Dudes for Harris", which organizers say attracted 190 - thousand people and raised more than $4 million dollars in donations for her campaign. Clips from that meeting have been posted online. Meanwhile, Black online influencer Dom Lucre posted a call titled "Blacks Against Harris" that lasted one and a half hour with over 72-thousand attendees. Lucre claims he posted the entire call on his YouTube channel.

Loudoun Fire Rescue announced yesterday that Lieutenant Chris Kerkstra was back to work after a long and extensive recovery. Kerkstra suffered significant injuries in the February 16th explosion that killed firefighter Trevor Brown and injured several other first responders.
