The 11-year-old transgender student, identified in court documents as Janie Doe, sued the school board last year after it prevented her from playing on the Hanover Middle School girls' tennis team. A federal judge yesterday ruled that Doe can play on the team while the lawsuit moves forward. Lawyers with the ACLU claim the school board violated Title Nine.
