More layoffs are being announced. General Motors is eliminating over a thousand jobs with almost 600 of the positions located at its Global Technical Center in Michigan. The company says the cuts are needed to streamline operations and lead to more efficiency. An exact layoff number has not been confirmed but reports say it could be over 15-hundred. This cut is roughly two percent of the global salaried workforce.
