A legal battle is continuing over Virginia Beach's current voting process.Preview: A new Hampton coffee shop is vandalized one day before the grand-opening. Buckroe Coffee Company still opened their doors Tuesday despite a glass door on the property being broken. Owner David Spring says surveillance video shows two kids throw something to break the glass, causing $2,000 in damages.Preview: Ten on Your Side reports the incident occurred on a nearby property that the shop plans to open soon. Spring wants those responsible to take responsibility for their actions and use the incident as a life lesson.
The Virginia Beach City Council has approved a grant to help fund a new ridesharing service for the Bayside area of the city. The council voted unanimously for a 20-percent matching grant for a micro-transit service from Hampton Roads Transit. The program would charge passengers two dollars a ride in an area that includes the Newtown Road rail stop, Sentara Leigh Hospital, Kempsville Plaza Shopping Center and Virginia Wesleyan University. Hampton Roads Transit is also starting a similar service in Newport News later this month.
