A stabbing incident occurred inside a Portsmouth Walmart Sunday morning, resulting in the arrest of a 29-year-old man on charges of attempted murder, malicious wounding, and unlawful stabbing. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his back but is expected to recover. Officials tell WAVY Deaquan V. Johnson admitted to he went to the store with the intention of stabbing "anyone in the store". Police are urging anyone with information to come forward, and Johnson has a history of criminal offenses.
A former nurse accused of injuring a newborn at Henrico Doctor's Hospital won't be released from jail. A judge yesterday denied bond for former NICU nurse Erin Strotman. The 26-year-old was arrested for hurting a five-month-old boy in November. He suffered multiple fractures. Strotman's attorney argued his client would be safer out on bond at her parents' home, but the judge disagreed. Strotman's lawyer tells CBS 6 he'll appeal.
