Investigators are working to determine the cause of an overnight house fire in Fairfax County that left one person with life-threatening injuries. Crews were called to Lawrence Drive in Falls Church around 2:30 this morning and rescued the victim before quickly knocking down the flames that badly damaged the single-family home. Fire officials say a total of nine people were displaced.

The organization says the colorless, odorless gas can be blamed for more than 20-thousand lung cancer deaths each year. A recent report by the ALA suggests that 25-percent of Virginia homes exceed the maximum level of radon considered acceptable by the EPA. Any homes or buildings that exceed that level should be examined and fixed by a certified radon professional. January is National Radon Action Month.
Video of a Woodbridge toddler's encounter with a Prince William County cop has gone viral. The video of two-year-old Joshua Jackson has pulled in more than two million likes since it was posted four days ago. It shows the officer conducting a playful traffic stop on Joshua as he was riding his little four-wheeler on his quiet neighborhood street, but as soon as the officer bent down to talk to him, Joshua hopped off his ride and made a mad dash for his house. The boy's dad says his son isn't much for attention and often tries to flee the spotlight.
