Many Virginians will not forget a year ago when a terror attack in Israel by Hamas terrorists left twelve-hundred women, children and babies dead and more than 250 people taken hostage. Julie Rayman, with the American Jewish Committee says there are still 101 hostages being held in brutal conditions in Gaza, including 7 Americans.

The week is off to a rocky start for commuters in the Covington area. The Virginia Department of Transportation says a train derailment closed Route 60 which is North Monroe Avenue and Route 154 in Covington. North and southbound lanes were shut down this morning.  
 
 
Virginia seems torn between a desire to develop an EV-focused workforce and an avoidance of sending taxpayer money to adversary countries, like China, to purchase needed materials to produce electric vehicles. Thomas Cage with more.
