Arlington police are still working to ID the folks responsible for a pair of weekend shootings in the Green Valley neighborhood. A man was shot early Saturday during a confrontation with five people and a juvenile was shot late the same night during a dispute with two individuals. Police don't yet know if the incidents are connected. Some residents think they may be tied to the illegal activities being allowed to take place in the town square and are asking police to step-up patrols in the area.

Parts of Virginia as well as far western Maryland could be getting some snow later this week. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Garrett County and Western Highland County in Virginia from Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening with snow that could pile up to a foot or more with a possibility of whiteout conditions. There could also be strong winds and heavy snow on tree limbs that could bring down power lines and cause service outages.
