A man is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge following a deadly crash in northern Virginia. Deputies arrested the 30-year-old driver Friday. The single-car crash happened early Friday morning when a Ford Mustang reportedly hit a tree and rolled over, killing two passengers. Alcohol is thought to be a factor in the deadly crash.
Hanover County officials have started laying the final miles of fiber cabling to connect 8,000 residences and businesses to new broadband internet service. The Connect Hanover initiative, funded by a grant and county funds, aims to bring internet access to underserved rural areas. Despite delays and technical challenges, the project is moving forward with the installation of fiber optic wiring by All Points Broadband. VPM reports construction for the final phase is expected to take 18 to 24 months, with some residents gaining access as early as February.
