Authorities in northern Virginia are trying to locate a missing 15-year-old girl. Padma Maya Phillips was last seen on Sunday afternoon in Ashburn. Phillips is described as five-feet, two-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a green and yellow hoodie and black Mickey Mouse pants, and carrying a green tote bag. The Virginia State Police have issued a CODI Alert as part of the search, saying her disappearance is a credible threat to her health and safety.

While parts of the Northeast could be hit with a bomb cyclone today, Virginians will see heavy rains and a small threat of severe weather in southeast Virginia. Forecasters say mild temperatures through the afternoon with drop when much cooler air arrives on strong winds from the northwest behind the cold front Wednesday evening. Thursday into Friday will be sharply colder with highs in the lower 40s. Meteorologists say a wedge of cold surface air may get locked in east of the mountains from high pressure building over New England and stay through the weekend.
