There appear to be no major problems from reports of gunfire on the VCU campus. Officers urged people to avoid an area of West Marshall Street on campus when they responded last night, but later said the situation was resolved. Also, VCU police are investigating the armed robbery of three victims in a parking deck near the Coliseum Lofts early Sunday morning.  
 
 
Two more Virginia college football programs have learned where they will be going bowling over the next few weeks. The JMU Dukes will head to Florida to take on Western Kentucky in the Boca Raton Bowl on December 18th. The Virginia Tech Hokies will be headed to Charlotte on January 3rd to take on Minnesota in the Duke's Mayo Bowl. Both games will be shown on ESPN. The Liberty Flames announced last week that they will play Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl on January 4th.  
 
 
A new report indicates Virginians favor a classic tune when it comes to Christmas songs. Personal finance website FinanceBuzz used Google Trends results from the last five years to determine the most-searched-for Christmas songs in each state. "Jingle Bells" reportedly topped the list in Virginia and 14 other states. "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" topped the list in six states.
