Police Chief Kevin Davis announced he arrests yesterday, saying undercover officers posed as young children to engage the suspects online. Among those arrested was a Fairfax County health and physical education teacher who was charged with multiple felonies. Davis said the arrest of Richard Berkowitz was kept secret until yesterday so that other suspects in the investigation could be taken into custody.
