Richmond is trying to keep city employees safe during the storm. The city announced yesterday all government buildings will be closed today due to the severe weather. The city's shelters will be open, though. The Salvation Army's Inclement Weather Shelter is on Chamberlayne Ave. A temporary inclement weather overflow shelter will be open at Marshall Plaza on East Marshall Street. Meals will be provided at both sites.
