A northern Virginia man has been found guilty of punching a sleeping passenger on a United Airlines flight last year. The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia announced the conviction of 44-year-old Everett Chad Nelson yesterday. Investigators say Nelson was flying from San Francisco to Dulles International Airport when attacked a deaf passenger without any apparent reason. The sleeping passenger suffered a broken nose and other injuries. Nelson will face a sentence of up to ten years in prison following the guilty verdict.

Ashland's Elizabeth Foley was attacked by a shark in Florida in June. Part of her left arm had to be amputated, and she has undergone over two dozen surgeries. Tomorrow, she'll be back in Florida in South Walton Beach where the attack took place. Foley will meet the first responders to thank them for saving her life. She tells 8News she has accepted what happened, and she's just thankful to be here.
