A man is in custody after a crime spree in Hopewell. Regenald Conwell was arrested for a series of incidents over the weekend. The 21-year-old allegedly stole a woman's cell phone, assaulted a woman, stole more items, sexually assaulted a woman and stole another cell phone. Hopewell Police say the three incidents took place over a two-hour span between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Conwell is facing charges that include grand larceny, sexual battery and indecent exposure. He's being held without bond.
State lawmakers in Virginia are proposing a new grant program to assist first-time homebuyers in purchasing a home.Preview: The State Corporation Commission has ordered two health insurance companies to reimburse some customers in Virginia. Anthem Health Plans was recently ordered to reimburse customers more than 200-thousand dollars after they were overcharged for a contraceptive their doctors prescribed. Anthem said its overcharges were caused by a computer error. Cigna Healthcare was ordered to reimburse more than 450 customers after it lowered claim amounts based on eligibility for Medicare. The state ordered Cigna to repay just over 400-thousand dollars to the affected customers.
